On Road Track General Rules
Sauce: SXT 3.0 Only. Lite, Regular or Max. Please wipe your tires off completely before setting your car down on the track.
Ride Height: Please pay close attention to following your cars listed minimum ride height from the rule sets below. This keeps up the high quality of our surface and prevents any chance of chassis's causing carpet damage.
Classes
Tamiya TT-01/TT-02 GT
This class is run with similar rules to the Tamiya Championship Series along with other tracks in the Southern Oregon and Northern California race scene. The spirit of this class is to be a fun, truly “build it and run”, low-cost, box stock class. We intend to keep this class affordable as can be possible while allowing modifications for performance parity and strength of vehicle.
- Tamiya TT-01e or TT-02 1/10 4wd Electric On-Road Cars. The kits must be built EXACTLY as shown in the manual besides listed options.
- Can not use TT-02 R or TT-02 Type-SRX. TT01E or TT-02 based kits only.
- Must use kit supplied silver can motor or direct Tamiya replacement (PN# TAM54358). ESC maybe either stock kit included esc or replaced with Tamiya 1060 or Hobbywing 1060 speedcontrol. The original motor bullet connectors and wire must be used and the wires may not be shortened. The battery connector may be replaced with the connectors needed for your specific batteries.
- Reverse must be disabled in the ESC.
- Only upgrades allowed are ball bearings, servo horn/ servo saver, screws, alum center driveline, front steel universal drives, front steel diff outdrives, upgraded stronger tamiya pinion (in stock tooth count) and Tamiya plastic oil filled shocks (PN#TAM54753)
- No modifications to the chassis or any other kit parts are allowed. TT-01 chassis maybe cut to fit square pack in equality to TT-02 chassis. This is the only allowed physical modification.
- You must run all the kit parts including (but not limited to), springs, steering links, etc. Again, this is a box stock, fun, low cost class. Only legal parts omission is you may choose to omit the plastic motor cover to allow more air flow to motor.
- Racers may use oil or grease in the differentials. However, oils must not leak out of vehicle. Differentials must work as intended and cannot be “locked” mechanically with any materials to work as a “spool”
- Must use kit supplied spur gear, but pinion will be open to upgraded stock tooth count
- Tires must be box stock tamiya tires or Gravity/Ride USGT non belted tire. Mounted or Unmounted allowed (no Euro truck tires)
- Tires may be glued to wheels. Gluing of the sidewalls to lower traction is allowed.
- The full body must be used. Body may not be modified to lower center-of-gravity or reduce weight. Any Tamiya branded Sedan, Coupe or GT body that comes with a TT-01E or TT-02. Additional approved Body List Below
- Adding FOAM material to the kit foam bumper is allowed.
- 2S LiPo hard case battery. Max capacity of 6,000mAh. TT02 chassis may not be modified to fit the battery. TT01 Chassis may be modified. Kit supplied battery strap must be used.
- Max voltage of 8.44V
- SXT 3.0 traction compound may be used. SXT is the only brand of compound allowed.
- Any servo and receiver may be used.
Additional Legal Bodies: (This list will be constantly growing.)
The idea is to use bodies, along with the factory tamiya bodies, that are readily available and look scale and realistic to street cars. Grand touring, sedan, hatchbacks, coupes, wagons, etc. Nothing in the realm of a prototype car. No LMH, LMdH, LMP, etc. No GBS sedan bodies. (Dogbolloxs, Twisters, etc) If the body you want to run is not on the list, that does not mean it is not allowed, just ask somebody inside PBR.

Vintage Trans Am Pan Car
JMH Rules VTA Pan Car
These cars are essentially World GT-R with slower motors and Trans Am Bodies.
This is a class that is well supported in Klamath Falls at JMH Raceway and we’re just adapting it to PBR. These cars with a gearing change are ready for JMH. We’re looking to promote racer cross over and grow our hobby.
This text is modified from World GT-R Rules - (World GT-R rules Updated 3/02/23)
- Chassis – 200mm pan car chassis (WGT-R car)
-Minimum Ride Height – 5mm
-Minimum Weight – 1025 grams
-Maximum Track Width - 200mm
- Tire and Wheel Rules – CRC Part #2314 only.
** No grinding the “bead” or mold line. If you feel the tire needs to be “broken in”, do it on the carpet track. Run it in practice in advance, let the carpet race track do the work.
** Super glue on the sidewalls is allowed. No modifications to the inside of the tire.
-Battery – ROAR approved 1 cell (3.7v) hard case lipo. Voltage limit to be set by track (4.20-4.22)
-Motor – Hobbywing Quicrun 3650 G2 Sensored Brushless Motor (17.5T) PN#HWA30404306
-Gearing- 3.14:1 or lower. 98/31 (3.16:1), 96/30 (3.2:1), 95/30 (3.16:1), 92/29 (3.17:1) 88/28 (3.142) This is current spec gear for JMH. Temporary until we decide what works for PBR.
-Speed Control – Any ROAR approved spec class (blinky) speed control in “blinky” mode. NO RECEIVER PACKS. You may use a specific 1 cell speed control, or a two cell speed control with an external booster. Some people use a non 1s speedcontrol and turn off low voltage cut off. Do this at your own risk and know your esc won’t be supplying full 6.0 voltage to the receiver.
-Bodies – Bodies must be cut on the mold lines. No excessive cutting or lowering of the body is permitted. No lightening of the body is permitted. Wings and spoilers that are included with the body kits are ok if cut on one of the mold lines (if multiple mold lines are present). Slight trimming to clear tires or prevent damage to the carpet is allowed but nothing excessive that would cause a performance advantage. Suggested body list at bottom of text.
-Tires may stick outside the body as long as the overall wheel width is within the 200mm maximum.
-Race Length- 5 min qual, 6 min main
-Fun- 100% Mandatory!
Approved Body list:
Any 190mm-200mm vintage trans am or vintage hotrod body you prefer.
